Tank 300 and Tank 500 for rent — prices and terms
Tank 300 and Tank 500 SUVs for rent without a driver in Moscow — from 7 500 ₽ per day. Delivery to any point in Moscow, the region, or the airport.
Tank 300 or Tank 500 — which to choose for rent in Moscow
Rent-Trip's fleet includes two Tank SUVs—the 300 and 500. Both models have all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, petrol, and 5 seats. The difference is in power, equipment, and price: the Tank 300 has 220 hp at 7 500 ₽ per day, the Tank 500 has 299 hp at 11 000 ₽ per day. The choice comes down to where and how you plan to drive.
Tank 300 — for the city, the dacha, and confident trips beyond the MKAD ring road
The Tank 300 is the junior model in the lineup, but in terms of off-road capability it is a true body-on-frame SUV. Under the hood is a 2.0 L petrol engine producing 220 hp, paired with an automatic and all-wheel drive. In the city, it's comfortable to drive along the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road, and on weekends you can head to the Moscow region: to Kolomna via the M-5 or to Sergiev Posad via the Yaroslavskoye Highway. The ground clearance and short overhangs let you ignore curbs in the courtyards of Khamovniki or at the parking lot near Moscow City.
- Engine: 2.0 L, petrol, 220 hp — enough for overtaking on the M-11 and M-12.
- Transmission: automatic, all-wheel drive — predictable behavior on snow and ice.
- Price: 7 500 ₽ per day — the most affordable Tank in our fleet.
- Who it suits: City trips, country house, short routes along the Golden Ring.
For a trip to Saint Petersburg on the toll M-11 Neva motorway, this model is also suitable: it covers 700 km confidently, and fuel consumption on the highway is lower than that of the older one.
Tank 500 — for long routes and executive tasks
The Tank 500 is the flagship model with a 2.0 L engine producing 299 hp and a richer interior. The 79 hp difference is felt when overtaking on country highways and when driving fully loaded — for example, with four passengers and luggage for a week. In the capital, the Tank 500 looks appropriate both near a business center in Presnensky and by a restaurant on Patriarch's Ponds.
- Engine: 2.0 L, petrol, 299 hp — power reserve for the M-12 Vostok motorway to Kazan.
- Equipment: more expensive interior trim and an extended list of options — the exact list is specified when booking.
- Price: 11 000 ₽ per day, from 45 000 ₽ per week.
- Who it suits: Long trips, business meetings, family trips.
If you plan a route of 800 km or more — for example, to Kazan via the M-12 Vostok motorway — the difference in power justifies the difference in price. In the Tank 500, you will get less tired behind the wheel, and the power reserve will come in handy when overtaking trucks on two-lane sections.
Comparison of models in the table
| Parameter | Tank 300 | Tank 500 |
|---|---|---|
| Power | 220 hp | 299 hp |
| Engine | 2.0 L, petrol | 2.0 L, petrol |
| Drivetrain / Transmission | Full, automatic | Full, automatic |
| Seats | 5 | 5 |
| Price per day | 7 500 ₽ | 11 000 ₽ |
| Price per week | 45 000 ₽ | 66 000 ₽ |
When booking, check which model is available for your dates—during peak season, both cars are reserved in advance, especially for long weekends. If you're torn between two options, take the Tank 300 for a day for city driving: the price difference with the Tank 500 is 3 500 ₽ per day, and for asphalt routes around the Moscow region, the younger model is more than sufficient.
How much does it cost to rent a Tank in Moscow per day, per week, and per month
In our fleet, the Tank 300 is rented from 7 500 ₽ per day, and the Tank 500 from 11 000 ₽. When switching to weekly or monthly format, the price per day decreases: a week counts as six days, a month as 21 days.
Rates for Tank in the capital
| Model | Daily | Week (6 days) | Month (21 days) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tank 300 | 7 500 ₽ | from 45 000 ₽ | from 157 500 ₽ |
| Tank 500 | 11 000 ₽ | from 66 000 ₽ | from 231 000 ₽ |
The difference of 3 500 ₽ between the models is explained not only by power: the Tank 500 delivers 299 hp versus 220 hp for the Tank 300, while both cars are all-wheel-drive SUVs with an automatic transmission and a 2.0 L petrol engine. If the Tank 300 is more often taken for business trips and out-of-town trips to the dacha, then the Tank 500 is chosen for long routes — to Saint Petersburg via the M-11 or to Kazan via the M-12, where power reserve for overtaking matters more.
When booking for a week or longer, the final daily rate is lower than the standard daily rate. You can calculate the exact cost for your dates in MAX or by phone—the manager will confirm availability of the specific model and contract terms. Note: when booking for a month or more, the car is reserved for you for the entire period, and in high season this is more reliable than extending day by day every few days.
What documents are needed to rent a Tank in Moscow
For renting a Tank 300 or Tank 500 in the capital, a citizen of Russia only needs to present a passport and a Category B driving licence. Age and experience requirements depend on the car class — for an SUV they are higher than for compact models; the exact conditions are specified in the rental agreement. We check the documents when handing over the car, so the entire process takes 10–15 minutes.
Package of documents for citizens of the Russian Federation
- Passport: The main identity document; without it, the rental agreement is not drawn up.
- Driving licence: category B — a mandatory condition for driving the Tank 300 and Tank 500.
- Bank card: it is issued in the name of the main driver, from which the security deposit is debited — the amount is specified in the rental agreement.
Documents for foreign renters
A foreign citizen will need an expanded package to rent a Tank in Moscow: a foreign passport, migration card, visa or residence permit, as well as a national driving licence. If the licence was issued in a country not party to the Vienna Convention—e.g., China—it is valid only with a notarized translation into Russian or with an International Driving Permit. This requirement is established in Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196-FZ "On Road Safety." A driving licence from a country party to the Vienna Convention is valid in Russia without additional translation.
In our experience, clients from China and the Middle East most often obtain an International Driving Permit before arrival — this saves time when picking up the car at Sheremetyevo or Domodedovo. Before booking a Tank 500, check with the manager the list of documents: for foreign citizens, conditions may differ depending on the country of licence issuance.
Delivery of a rented Tank in Moscow and to airports
Rent-Trip delivers your rented Tank to any point in the capital and the region — to your home, office, airport, or train station. We don't have a physical office, so the car is always brought to the client, not the other way around.
Where we deliver Tank
- Airports: Sheremetyevo (north, ~30 km from the MKAD ring road via M-11 or Leningradskoe shosse), Domodedovo (south, ~45 km via Kashirskoe shosse), Vnukovo (southwest, ~28 km via Kievskoe shosse), Zhukovsky (southeast, ~40 km via Novoryazanskoe shosse) — we deliver to any of the four.
- Railway stations: All ten, including Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky, Kazansky, Kursky, Kievsky, Belorussky and Paveletsky — we meet at the entrance or in the parking lot.
- Districts and business areas: Patriki, Arbat, Tverskoy, Khamovniki, Moscow City, Kutuzovsky Prospekt, VDNKh; outside the MKAD — Mitino, Krylatskoye, Strogino, and other districts up to the borders of the Moscow region.
Delivery within the capital and the Moscow region is part of our service; its cost and terms are clarified when booking. If you are flying to Sheremetyevo and immediately planning a trip towards Tver or Saint Petersburg, order delivery to terminal B or C - you will get into a Tank 500 and drive along the M-11 without transfers.
How we hand over the keys
We agree on the delivery time in advance — the car arrives with a full tank, a cleaned interior, and a completed contract. You inspect the Tank, record its condition in the acceptance report, receive the keys and documents — the whole process takes 15–20 minutes. Return is also accepted at a convenient location: at home, at the airport before your flight, or at the railway station before your train.
When to order delivery
For flights from Domodedovo or Vnukovo, allow extra travel time: at peak hours, the journey from the centre to the airport takes 1–1.5 hours, especially along Kashirskoye or Kievskoye Highway. The exact pick-up time and its coordination procedure are specified in the rental agreement. When booking via MAX or by phone, provide your flight number and terminal — we will advise how much time to allow considering congestion on the MKAD ring road and the Third Ring Road.
Where to go in a rented Tank from Moscow
All-wheel drive, automatic transmission, and a petrol engine make Tank 300 and Tank 500 suitable for long asphalt routes, not just for city trips on the Third Ring Road and the MKAD ring road. On a rented car, you can actually go to Saint Petersburg, travel along the Golden Ring, or get to Kazan — all these are paved roads, without a single kilometer of off-road. There are no mountains around the capital, the terrain is flat, so any of the routes below can be driven on standard tires.
- Saint Petersburg via the M-11 Neva motorway: ~700 km, about 7 hours on the way; the road is tolled for the entire stretch, refueling conditions along the route are specified when booking.
- The Golden Ring: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal, Vladimir — legs of 1–4 hours, convenient to split over 2–3 days.
- Kazan via the M-12 Vostok motorway: ~8 hours on the way, a class 1 car pays 5 909 ₽ for the entire route.
- Tula and Yasnaya Polyana: ~2.5 hours along the M-2 or M-4, a route for a single weekend trip.
- Kolomna: ~2 hours via the M-5, a short route for a first trip out of town.
The toll sections of the MSD and TsKAD are paid for by the renter—the transponder gives a discount of up to 25%, and toll rates have increased by 8–10%. On the MSD there are 9 sections at 19 ₽ during peak hours (weekdays 7:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:00 PM–8:00 PM), free outside peak hours and on weekends; transit without exiting—950 ₽. TsKAD: 19 ₽ per section during peak, the entire ring is 171 ₽. Fines from cameras are sent to the owner, i.e., Rent-Trip, and are reissued to the renter—there are quite a lot of cameras on the M-11 and M-12.
The Tank 500 with a 2.0 L engine and 299 hp feels more confident on the long stretches of the M-12, where you need torque reserve for overtaking trucks. The Tank 300 with 220 hp is more economical in the city and for routes up to 300 km — Tula, Kolomna, Sergiyev Posad. In our practice, clients more often take the Tank 500 specifically for Kazan and Saint Petersburg, and the Tank 300 for the Golden Ring. When booking, specify whether you need a transponder for toll roads — the contract states how the MSD, TsKAD, M-11, and M-12 are paid for.
Fines, fuel, and winter tires in Tank rentals
Camera fines, refueling, and seasonal tires—three things to know before getting behind the wheel of a rented Tank. The terms are in the contract, but the logic is simple: the person behind the wheel pays for violations, and in winter the SUV runs on winter tires as required by law.
Camera fines: who pays
- Camera fines: decisions come to the owner of the car, i.e., the rental company, after which they are reissued to the renter — payment is made after the trip.
- Toll roads: The MSD, TsKAD ring, M-11 and M-12 are paid by the renter — via transponder or state plate within the road operator's deadline.
- Parking in the center: 380–800 ₽/hour from 8:00 to 21:00, at night 200 ₽/hour; fine for non-payment — 5 000 ₽, towing — 8 500–12 450 ₽ plus storage.
On the MSD, there are nine paid sections at 19 ₽ during peak hours (weekdays 7:00–11:00 and 16:00–20:00); outside peak hours and on weekends, it's free; transit without exiting is 950 ₽. On the TsKAD, a section during peak hours costs 19 ₽, the full circle costs 171 ₽. A transponder gives a discount of up to 25%; rates have increased by 8–10% this season. We remind you about toll sections when booking, but you plan the route.
Fuel and winter tires
- Petrol: Tank 300 and Tank 500 are petrol-fueled, with AI-95 fuel; fuel terms are specified in the rental agreement.
- Winter tires: Mandatory from December to February under EAEU Technical Regulation 018/2011 — our fleet is fitted with seasonal tyres.
- Summer season: From June to August, restrictions on studded tires apply; details are in the rental agreement.
In our practice, the most common question is about fines from traffic cameras before a long trip along the M-12 to Kazan: the toll for a passenger car for the entire route is 5 909 ₽, and it is easy to overlook it in the receipt. Payment deadlines for fines and the procedure for reissuing them are specified in the rental agreement — check the documents after returning the car to close all payments on time.
Insurance and contract terms when renting a Tank
Each car in our fleet is insured under OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) — this is mandatory coverage by law, valid for any registered vehicle. The terms of CASCO (comprehensive insurance), the deposit amount, mileage limit, and delivery cost are specified in the contract — when booking a Tank 300 or Tank 500, a Rent-Trip manager will state them before signing.
What is included in the insurance and the contract
- OSAGO: Compulsory third-party liability insurance is included in every rate and valid throughout Russia.
- CASCO (comprehensive insurance): Voluntary body insurance; the coverage composition and deductible are specified in the contract.
- Deposit: The amount is blocked on the primary driver's bank card and returned after the car is returned; the exact amount is specified in the contract.
- Mileage and delivery: The daily kilometre limit and the cost of delivering the car to the client's address are specified in the contract or clarified when booking.
- Age and experience: Driver requirements increase with the car class; exact values are in the agreement.
Processing and return
To process the rental, you will need a passport and a driving licence of category B. The bank card from which the deposit is debited must be issued in the name of the main driver. When receiving the car, we record the condition of the body and fuel level—this protects both parties upon return. Fines from cameras come to the owner of the car, that is, to Rent-Trip, and are reissued to the renter.
What to pay attention to before signing
Read the section on liability for damage and operating rules: Tank 300 and Tank 500 are all-wheel-drive SUVs, but off-road driving is prohibited by the contract. If you plan to travel on toll roads, clarify the payment procedure—transponder or charge by license plate. Terms for foreign drivers differ: in addition to a passport, a migration card is required, and licenses from countries outside the Vienna Convention are valid only with a notarized translation or an International Driving Permit—this is a requirement of Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196.
Practical tips on how to rent a Tank in Moscow
We have reviewed both Tank models, rates, documents, and routes — now it remains to put this into a short action plan. Our service in the capital revolves around two SUVs: the Tank 300 at 7 500 ₽ per day and the Tank 500 at 11 000 ₽ per day. Both are all-wheel drive, automatic, petrol, 5 seats; the difference is in power: 220 hp vs. 299 hp. If you drive mostly on asphalt in the Moscow region or to neighboring regions, the heavier Tank 500 is justified for long hauls like Kazan via the M-12, while the Tank 300 is more practical for the city and short trips to the country.
- Daily rate: Tank 300 — 7 500 ₽, Tank 500 — 11 000 ₽ per day.
- Week and month: from 45 000 ₽ and from 157 500 ₽ respectively — more profitable than multiplying the daily rate by 7 or 30.
- Documents: For a citizen of the Russian Federation — passport and category B driving licence; for a foreigner — passport, migration card, visa or residence permit, driving licence with notarized translation if the country is not a party to the Vienna Convention.
- Delivery: We deliver the car across the capital, the region, to Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and to railway stations — there is no office; we meet where it's convenient for you.
When booking, clarify the contract terms: deposit, mileage limit, CASCO coverage, and delivery cost—specific figures depend on the model and duration and are fixed in the contract. For trips on the toll sections of the MSD (Moscow High-Speed Diameter) and the TsKAD ring, budget up to 950 ₽ for transit or use a transponder with a discount of up to 25%. If you're planning a weekend route, keep in mind that from December to February winter tires are mandatory by law—our fleet switches seasonally, so the car will be ready for snow and ice. All that's left is to choose a model and write to us in MAX or call—we'll find available dates and arrange delivery.
