Omoda S5: sedan with 113 hp engine — an economical option for trips around the capital, from 3 400 ₽ per day. Trim: Comfort, 5 seats, automatic, front-wheel drive — a standard set for rental without a driver. Who it suits: if the route is work, the centre, Sheremetyevo or Vnukovo airports, a sedan is enough.

The C5 is noticeably more powerful — 147 hp versus 113 hp for the S5. On the M-11 motorway to Saint Petersburg or along the M-12 to Kazan, the power reserve is felt when overtaking. However, the S5 is cheaper by 900 ₽ per day — for a week-long rental, the difference is 5 400 ₽.

Omoda C5 — crossover for country trips

Omoda C5: 147 hp crossover — for trips out of town and on highways, from 4 300 ₽ per day. Body: higher seating position, more ground clearance — more convenient on dirt roads to dachas in the Moscow region. Equipment: 5 seats, petrol, automatic, front-wheel drive — like the S5, but more powerful and spacious.

The condition of a specific car and seasonal tyres are clarified when booking. You cannot drive off-road in a C5 — this restriction is specified in the rental contract.

If your budget is limited and you need a car for everyday use, take the S5. For family trips and long routes on the M-11 or M-12, the C5 is more sensible: power reserve reduces driver fatigue. We deliver both models across the city, the region, to four airports and to train stations — we do not have a physical office.

Cost of renting an Omoda in Moscow per day, week, or month

The difference of 900 ₽ between the models is explained not by class but by the car's character: the S5 is a sedan with a 1.5 L engine producing 113 hp, while the C5 is a crossover with the same displacement but tuned to 147 hp. In practice, the C5 feels more confident on the M-11 towards Saint Petersburg and on the M-12 to Kazan, where torque reserve is needed for overtaking. Both models have automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, so the price difference honestly reflects the difference in dynamics. If you plan mostly city trips along the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road, the S5 covers the task without overpaying; for regular out-of-town routes, the extra cost for the C5 is justified. What documents are needed to rent an Omoda in Moscow

For renting an Omoda in the capital, a citizen of Russia only needs a passport and a Category B driving licence. Foreigners will additionally need a migration card, a visa or residence permit, as well as a translation of the national licence if it was issued outside the Vienna Convention. The full list depends on the renter's status — the requirements are clarified when booking.

Documents for citizens of Russia

• Passport: The main identity document — without it, the contract is not drawn up.
• Category B driving licence: it confirms the right to drive a passenger car; driving experience and age affect the choice of vehicle class.
• Bank card: In the name of the main driver — to block the insurance deposit, the amount is specified in the rental contract.

Documents for foreign renters

• International passport: Mandatory for signing the contract along with the migration card.
• Migration card and visa or residence permit: confirm the legality of stay in Russia for the rental period.
• National driving licence: if the issuing country is not part of the Vienna Convention — for example, China — a notarized translation or an International Driving Permit is required under Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196.

When booking, check the list of documents via MAX or by phone—requirements may differ for renters from different countries. If the license was issued in a country of the Vienna Convention, no translation is needed: just present the original. In practice, a renter with an expired migration card won't get the car even with a complete rest of the package—check the expiration dates before submitting the request.

Before handing over, we contact you via MAX or by phone to confirm the meeting place and time. Upon transfer, we check the documents, sign the agreement, and record the condition of the body and fuel level. The time required for paperwork is specified in the rental agreement — when planning a trip to the airport or train station, allow extra time.

Omoda rental in winter and for trips outside the city

In winter, renting an Omoda in the capital and the Moscow region remains in demand: the S5 sedan and C5 crossover confidently hold the road in snowfall, and on suburban highways to Tula or along the Golden Ring, the car causes no trouble. • Saint Petersburg: via the toll M-11 Neva motorway, about 700 km and 7 hours en route — the C5 crossover with 147 hp cruises comfortably.
• The Golden Ring: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal, Vladimir — 1 to 4 hours from Moscow, the S5 sedan with a 1.5 L engine is suitable for such a trip.
• Tula and Yasnaya Polyana: about 2.5 hours along the M-2 or M-4 — an excellent option for one day.

What to consider for a winter trip

In December-February, daylight hours are short, and snow and rain make roads slippery — allow 20-30 minutes more for your trip than in summer. Toll sections of the M-11 and M-12 are paid by the renter: via transponder or by car plate within the road operator's deadline. If you plan frequent trips out of the city in winter, take the C5 — the crossover's ground clearance and all-wheel drive are not needed on the flat roads of the Moscow region, but the seating position is higher and visibility is better than in a sedan. Toll roads and fines when renting an Omoda in Moscow

On toll roads in the capital and the region, rates depend on the time of day and route, and fines from cameras come to the car owner. Let's look at how to pay for the MSD (Moscow High-Speed Diameter) and the TsKAD ring, how much travel on the M-11 and M-12 costs, and what happens with unpaid parking.

How the MSD and TsKAD are paid for

The Moscow High-Speed Diameter and the TsKAD ring operate on the same scheme: during rush hours, passage is tolled; outside peak times and on weekends, it is free. The MSD has nine sections, each costing 19 ₽ on weekdays from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. A transit passage without exiting will cost 950 ₽. On the TsKAD ring, one section is also 19 ₽ during peak hours, the entire circle is 171 ₽. In both systems, payment is linked to the license plate: cameras record passage, and the road operator issues the bill.

Toll roads M-11 and M-12

Countryside routes are paid separately. The M-11 Neva motorway from Moscow to Saint Petersburg is tolled along its entire length — for a long trip, budget for the whole distance. The M-12 Vostok motorway to Kazan for a class 1 passenger car costs 5 909 ₽ for the entire route. A transponder gives up to 25% discount. Fines from cameras and parking

• Camera fines: decisions come to the owner of the car, i.e., the rental company, and are reissued to the client — payment is charged to the card specified in the agreement.
• Paid parking in the center: 380–800 ₽ per hour from 8:00 to 21:00, at night — 200 ₽ per hour; fine for non-payment — 5 000 ₽.
• Towing: 8 500–12 450 ₽ plus storage at the impound lot — significant amounts, so it is easier to pay for parking via the app.
• Payment terms: toll road operators have a grace period for payment by licence plate; if you miss the deadline, a fine will be issued.

Before traveling on the MSD or TsKAD, check the time: leaving during peak hours from 7:00 to 11:00 will cost more than in the afternoon. On weekends, travel on the diameter is free — this is a convenient option for a trip to the airport on Saturday morning.

Insurance and rental rules for Omoda in Moscow in the contract

Each car, including the Omoda S5 and C5, is insured under OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) — this is a mandatory condition for registering a car. The terms of CASCO (comprehensive insurance), the amount of the security deposit, and the mileage limit are specified in the rental agreement.

Age and driving experience requirements increase with car class: for the Omoda C5 conditions are stricter than for the S5. Exact values are specified in the agreement and depend on the issue date. The possibility of adding a second driver and requirements for their documents are clarified at booking.

Fines and toll roads

Fines from cameras come in the name of the owner, i.e., Rent-Trip, after which we reissue them to the renter — this is standard rental practice. The driver pays for passage on the MSD, TsKAD, M-11 and M-12: via transponder or by license plate within the deadline set by the road operator. Before a long trip, check your transponder balance — on the M-12 Vostok motorway to Kazan, passage for a passenger car costs 5 909 ₽, and the charge is automatically deducted upon exit. Current toll rates are specified in the rental agreement.

How to rent an Omoda in Moscow — results
