Renault models and equipment for rent in Moscow
Rent-Trip's rental fleet includes two economy-class Renault models — the Logan and the Sandero. Both cars have automatic transmissions and a 1.6 L petrol engine with 113 hp. We deliver cars to clients in Moscow, to airports, and to railway stations; key handover conditions are specified at booking.

Logan is a classic sedan with a large boot, convenient for trips out of town or to the airport with large suitcases. Sandero is a hatchback that is easier to park in the dense development of central districts. Both models are suitable for paved roads in Moscow and the Moscow region; operating conditions on other surfaces are specified in the rental agreement.
Automatic and front-wheel drive — why it is convenient for the city
An automatic gearbox in a rental car simplifies driving in Moscow traffic jams on the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road. Front-wheel drive is predictable on wet asphalt and delivers no surprises when starting from traffic lights. For the city, this is enough: Logan and Sandero feel confident on the MKAD ring road and the MSD, and their dimensions allow parking on streets like Patriarch's Ponds or Chistye Prudy. Which of the two models to choose—Logan for suburban routes or Sandero for daily trips around the city—depends on your tasks; availability can be clarified when booking.
What is prohibited on a rented car
- Off-road: Driving on dirt roads in bad weather and forest areas is prohibited by the contract.
- Special route conditions: The list of roads and surfaces where driving is prohibited is specified in the rental agreement.
- Towing: The Renault cannot be used to tow another car or trailer.
- Overload: the number of passengers must not exceed five, and luggage — the standard boot volume.
Before leaving, inspect the body for scratches and chips — damage recorded in the acceptance report will protect you from disputes upon return.
Documents and terms of Renault rental in Moscow
For renting a Renault Logan or Sandero, a minimum of documents is required: a passport and a Category B driving licence for citizens of the Russian Federation. The registration procedure takes 10–15 minutes; the terms of car delivery are specified when booking. All conditions are stipulated in the contract, which is signed before handing over the keys.
Passport and category B licence — what a citizen of the Russian Federation needs
For Russian citizens, two documents are enough: a general passport and a driver's license of category B. The license must be valid for the entire rental period. The bank card is issued in the name of the main driver — the security deposit is debited from it, the amount of which is specified in the contract. Conditions for a second driver, if he plans to get behind the wheel, are specified in the rental agreement.
Deposit, CASCO, mileage — what is specified in the contract
- OSAGO: Compulsory insurance covers every registered vehicle by law — no need to pay separately.
- CASCO (comprehensive insurance): Voluntary insurance; the coverage composition and terms are set out in the rental contract.
- Deposit: Security deposit: the amount and return procedure are specified in the rental agreement.
- Mileage: The daily or monthly limit, if any, is fixed in the rental agreement.
- Camera fines: go to the car owner and are reissued to the renter.
Age and experience—requirements by car class
Renault Logan and Sandero belong to the economy class, so the requirements for the driver here are minimal compared to business class or SUVs. The exact values of age and driving experience are specified in the contract and depend on the car class. For the economy class, the entry threshold is lower than for premium models - this is standard practice in the capital's rental market. You can clarify the conditions for a specific driver when booking via MAX or by phone - a Rent-Trip manager will check the documents and confirm the possibility of renting.
Renault rental for foreigners in Moscow
Handing over a car to a guest from another country is a separate procedure with a different set of documents than for Russian citizens. At Rent-Trip, we deliver the car to the airport or hotel, so we often meet travelers right after landing - and we know all the nuances of paperwork. Below is what you need to prepare to get a Renault Logan or Sandero without delays.
Documents for guests from abroad
- Passport: A national passport with an entry stamp into Russia.
- Migration card: Issued when crossing the border, filled out in Russian.
- Visa or residence permit: confirms the legality of your stay in the country.
- Driving licence: National licence of the country of residence.
- Bank card: in the name of the primary driver, for the insurance deposit — the amount is specified in the rental agreement.
Check that your passport and visa validity covers the entire rental period. If the documents expire before the car is returned, the car will not be issued.
Chinese licence — translation and IDP under Art. 25 of Federal Law No. 196
For guests from countries not party to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic—for example, China—national driving licences are valid only with a notarized translation into Russian or with an International Driving Permit (IDP). This is a requirement of Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196-FZ, and the rental company must comply. Terms for obtaining an IDP are clarified when booking.
Before booking, send photos of your documents via MAX — we will check the set and advise whether an additional translation is needed. This saves time at the meeting: the car will already be ready, you'll just need to sign the contract and get the keys.
Delivery of a rented Renault to airports and railway stations
We deliver the car to where it's needed: across the capital, to the region, to the four airports, and to any of the ten railway stations. We have no physical office, so we meet the client at the pickup point — at the terminal or on the station square. This saves an hour or an hour and a half on the trip to the office and back, which is especially important before a flight or right after a long flight.
Four airports — Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky
- Sheremetyevo (SVO): north of the capital, about 30 km from the MKAD ring road via the M-11 or Leningradskoye Shosse; we deliver a Renault Logan to Terminals B and C.
- Domodedovo (DME): south, roughly 45 km along Kashirskoye Highway or the M-4; convenient for departures to southern destinations.
- Vnukovo (VKO): southwest, about 28 km along the Kievskoye or Borovskoye Highway; the nearest airport to the center.
- Zhukovsky (ZIA): southeast, about 40 km along the Novoryazanskoye Highway; budget airlines fly from here.
When delivering to the airport, allow extra time: traffic jams happen on the MKAD ring road and access highways, especially on weekdays from 8:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. If your flight arrives at night, notify us at booking — night delivery terms are specified in the rental agreement.
Railway stations and the center - Leningradsky, Paveletsky, Patriki
With train stations it is simpler: Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky, and Kazansky are near Komsomolskaya Square, Kievsky is on the square of the same name, Belorussky and Paveletsky are within a five-minute drive from the Garden Ring. We also deliver Renault to the center — to Patriarch's Ponds, in Khamovniki, on Arbat, or to Moscow City. Within the Third Ring Road, we allow 20–40 minutes for delivery depending on traffic, up to an hour during rush hour.
How the meeting goes upon delivery
We will agree on the exact meeting place and time when you book — via MAX or by phone. Details of the car handover and paperwork are specified in the rental agreement. We schedule time for the handover in advance so you can make your flight or meeting without rushing.
Toll roads and parking when renting a Renault
Driving beyond the Garden Ring in a Renault Logan or Sandero almost always involves toll sections — MSD and TsKAD are integrated into routes to airports and regions. We explain how tariffs work, who pays for travel and parking, and what happens if you don't pay.
MSD and TsKAD ring — rates per section and transit
The Moscow High-Speed Diameter and the Central Ring Road operate on the same scheme: 19 ₽ per section during peak hours, free outside peak and on weekends. Peak hours on the MSD are weekdays from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00; on the TsKAD the same principle applies, and the entire circle during peak costs 171 ₽. Transit without exits costs 950 ₽ on both roads.
Fines from cameras for non-payment go to the car owner — the rental company — and we reissue them to the client. To avoid this, when traveling on the MSD or TsKAD, check the toll payment procedure — via transponder or by license plate within the road operator's deadline. The terms of transponder use are specified in the rental agreement.
M-11 and M-12 — trips to Petersburg and Kazan
The Renault Logan is comfortable for a trip to Saint Petersburg via the M-11 Neva motorway — about 700 km and 7 hours of driving — or to Kazan via the M-12 Vostok motorway, about 8 hours. Both highways are toll roads for their entire length; travel on the M-12 for a class 1 passenger car to Kazan costs 5 909 ₽.
The transponder gives a discount of up to 25% on tolls. The procedure for paying for travel on toll roads is clarified when booking. Before a long trip, include the toll road cost in your budget — on the Moscow–Kazan route it is significant for the trip budget.
Parking in the center and fines from cameras
Paid parking in the center of the capital costs 380–800 ₽/hour from 8:00 to 21:00, at night — 200 ₽/hour. The fine for non-payment is 5 000 ₽, towing — from 8 500 to 12 450 ₽ plus storage at the impound lot. If you leave a Renault Sandero on Patriki or near Chistye Prudy, pay for parking in advance via the app.
All camera fines come to the owner—Rent-Trip—and then we pass them on to the client under the contract. Keep this in mind when planning trips: it is easier to pay for parking right away than to deal with a reissued fine for non-payment later.
Is monthly rental of Renault in Moscow beneficial?
Long-term Renault rental is a way to get an economy-class car with a fixed monthly budget. Our fleet offers Logan and Sandero available by the day, week, or month, and the longer the term, the lower the daily rate.
Rent-Trip rates: day, week, month
- Daily: 2 500 ₽ — base price for Renault Logan and Sandero with automatic transmission and a 1.6 L petrol engine.
- Week: from 15 000 ₽ — that's 2 500 ₽ × 6 days.
- Month: from 52 500 ₽ — 2 500 ₽ × 21 days, works out noticeably cheaper than paying daily every day.
If you are coming to the capital for several weeks or need transport between moving and buying your own car, the monthly rate solves the problem without weekly renewals. All details — included mileage, return conditions, deposit — are specified in the rental agreement.
When your own car is more profitable than a taxi
Let's calculate: a taxi ride in Moscow on average costs more than 500 ₽ per 15–20 minutes, and a month of regular trips — for errands, to the dacha, to meet guests — adds up to a significant amount. Renting a Renault for 52 500 ₽ per month is a fixed cost for trips around Moscow and the region without waiting for a car or per-minute charges.
- Fixed budget: You know the cost of the month in advance.
- Route freedom: Logan and Sandero — cars for the city and asphalt country trips.
- Your own comfort zone: The car's interior remains at your disposal for the entire rental period.
For one-off trips — to the airport once a month or to the center for dinner — a taxi is indeed simpler: you don't have to worry about parking. We usually advise clients to estimate the number of trips: if you make more than 10–12 trips a month, renting a Renault for a long term is almost always more cost-effective, and we'll deliver the car wherever is convenient for you — in the city, region, or to the airport.
Winter rental of Renault in Moscow — tyres and rules
From December to February, renting a Renault in Moscow takes place on winter tyres — this is a requirement of the technical regulations, not a wish of the rental company. Logically, the car is prepared for the season in advance: in our fleet, tyres are changed on all cars at once, so Logan and Sandero arrive to the client already switched.
Winter tires from December to February — per TR TS 018/2011
The Technical Regulations of the Customs Union require passenger cars to be operated on winter tires in December, January, and February. A fine is provided for violation. The seasonal transition affects the entire Rent-Trip fleet, including Renault Logan and Sandero in the 'Economy' class: by the first snow, the cars are already on winter wheels.
- Studs or Velcro: The choice depends on the route and personal preferences — both options are acceptable in winter.
- Tread depth: for winter tyres, the minimum remaining tread depth is 4 mm, for summer tyres — 1.6 mm; tyre condition is checked before handing over the vehicle.
- Summer tires in December: fine of 500 ₽ under Article 12.5 of the Administrative Code.
- Storage of the second set: The terms of seasonal replacement are specified in the lease agreement.
- Tire condition: Tire requirements before vehicle delivery are specified in the rental agreement.
On studded tyres on dry asphalt, the braking distance is 5–7% longer than on non-studded ones, so it is worth keeping a larger distance to the car ahead.
Countryside routes — the Golden Ring, Tula, Kolomna
In winter, out-of-town trips in a rented Renault include Sergiev Posad in 1 hour of driving, Tula with gingerbread and Yasnaya Polyana in 2.5 hours, or Kolomna with its Kremlin in 2 hours via M-5. We deliver the car within Moscow and the region, so you can start from any point in the city, including Khamovniki or Mitino.
The toll sections of the M-11 Neva motorway to Saint Petersburg and the M-12 Vostok motorway to Kazan operate as usual in winter: a transponder gives a discount of up to 25%, and toll rates have increased by 8–10%. If you are planning a long trip, take into account daylight hours—in December it gets dark around 4:00 PM. Before a long drive, check the washer fluid level: in winter, consumption is several times higher than in summer, especially on the M-12, where oncoming cars cover the windshield with reagents.
