Rent a Geely in Moscow: models, prices, conditions
From 3 300 ₽ per day — rental of Geely in Moscow without a driver: our fleet has five models (Emgrand, Coolray, Preface, Atlas, Monjaro) with automatic transmission and petrol engine.
Which Geely models are available for rent in Moscow and how do the models differ
The Moscow rental fleet of Rent-Trip includes five Geely models: from the city sedan Emgrand to the all-wheel-drive Monjaro crossover. All cars are petrol, with automatic transmission, and five seats; prices depend on class, drivetrain, and power.
Geely model range in the Rent-Trip fleet
- Geely Emgrand: a Comfort-class sedan, front-wheel drive, 1.5 L and 122 hp - a base model for the city, from 3 300 ₽ per day.
- Geely Coolray: compact crossover, front-wheel drive, 1.5 L and 150 hp — for active driving around Moscow and the region, from 4 300 ₽ per day.
- Geely Preface: a sedan with a 2.0 L engine and 238 hp — for highways and country routes, from 4 600 ₽ per day.
- Geely Atlas: an all-wheel-drive crossover with 2.0 L and 200 hp — a choice for winter and trips around the Moscow region, from 5 300 ₽ per day.
- Geely Monjaro: all-wheel-drive crossover, 2.0 L and 238 hp — a spacious option for family or business trips, from 6 500 ₽ per day.
Sedans vs. crossovers: what to choose
The Emgrand and Preface sedans are lower in ground clearance and more economical on the highway — the Preface with 238 hp confidently overtakes on the M-11 and M-12, and fuel consumption remains moderate thanks to the automatic transmission. The Coolray, Atlas, and Monjaro crossovers seat the driver higher, offer more cargo space, and are more comfortable on broken asphalt of dacha settlements. All-wheel drive in the Atlas and Monjaro engages automatically — this is a real advantage in ice and snowfalls, not a marketing option.
Comparison of models in the table
| Model | Body | Drive | Power | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emgrand | Sedan | Front-wheel | 122 hp | 3 300 ₽ |
| Coolray | Crossover | Front-wheel | 150 hp | 4 300 ₽ |
| Preface | Sedan | Front-wheel | 238 hp | 4 600 ₽ |
| Atlas | Crossover | All-wheel | 200 hp | 5 300 ₽ |
| Monjaro | Crossover | All-wheel | 238 hp | 6 500 ₽ |
The difference between the Emgrand and Monjaro is more than double in price, and it's not just about drive. Our fleet includes cars of different classes, and Geely occupies a separate niche in it: these are recent cars rented without a driver in Moscow and the region. If you're torn between a sedan and a crossover, consider the season: for December–February, it's wiser to take all-wheel drive; in summer, front-wheel drive is enough in the city.
How much does it cost to rent a Geely in Moscow — per day, per week, and per month
The Geely rental rate in our fleet is from 3 300 to 6 500 ₽ per day depending on the model. Below are current rates for all five cars of the brand, as well as terms for daily, weekly, and monthly rentals.
Cost of rental by model
| Model | Body | Drive | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emgrand | Sedan | Front-wheel | 3 300 ₽ |
| Coolray | Crossover | Front-wheel | 4 300 ₽ |
| Preface | Sedan | Front-wheel | 4 600 ₽ |
| Atlas | Crossover | All-wheel | 5 300 ₽ |
| Monjaro | Crossover | All-wheel | 6 500 ₽ |
The Emgrand sedan is the most affordable option in the lineup: 3 300 ₽ per day with a 1.5 L engine and 122 hp. The flagship Monjaro with all-wheel drive and 238 hp will cost twice as much - 6 500 ₽ per day. The difference between models is explained by class, power, and type of drive, not by season or demand - rates are fixed.
Rates for a week and a month
For long-term rental, the daily rate decreases: a week is calculated from six days, a month from twenty-one. So, a week of Emgrand costs from 19 800 ₽, and a month from 69 300 ₽; for Monjaro, the same periods are from 39 000 ₽ and from 136 500 ₽, respectively. Exact terms of monthly rental are specified in the rental agreement.
For trips of two to three weeks, it is more profitable to combine daily and weekly rates—for example, 14 days at a weekly rate plus separate days. A Rent-Trip manager will make an exact calculation for your dates when booking in MAX or by phone; we will also fix the price in the contract so that it does not change by the time the car is delivered.
Geely rental terms — documents, age, deposit and insurance
To get a Geely at Rent-Trip, you do not need to come to the office—we deliver the car in Moscow and the region, and we check documents at handover. The set of papers is standard for Russian rentals, but there are nuances for foreign drivers, especially if the licence was issued in China—there the Vienna Convention is not in force, but its analogue.
Documents for citizens of Russia
- Passport: the main identity document; without it, we do not conclude the agreement.
- Driving licence: category B — for all five Geely models, from Emgrand to Monjaro.
- Bank card: in the name of the primary driver, from which the security payment is debited — the amount is specified in the rental agreement.
Documents for foreign drivers
- International passport and migration card: Mandatory for citizens of CIS countries and far abroad.
- Visa or residence permit: confirm the legality of stay in Russia.
- National driving licence: if the country is not a party to the Vienna Convention (e.g., China), a notarized translation or an International Driving Permit will be required — this is a requirement of Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196.
Age, driving experience, and insurance
The minimum age and driver experience depend on the car class: for sedans the requirements are lower, for the all-wheel-drive Monjaro they are stricter. The exact figures are specified in the rental agreement, as are the CASCO terms — we do not disclose its composition, but it is valid for the entire rental period. OSAGO is included in the price by law and covers liability towards third parties. The type of winter tyres fitted on the cars is specified in the rental agreement.
Before signing the agreement, check the licence of the main driver — if someone without the experience specified in the agreement gets behind the wheel, the insurance coverage may not apply in an accident.
Geely rental with delivery to Moscow airports and railway stations
We deliver a rented Geely to any point in the capital and region, including airports and railway stations. Rent-Trip has no physical office—the car comes to the client, saving time on travel and paperwork. Delivery terms and cost are specified in the rental contract and confirmed when booking.
Where we deliver the car
- Airports: Sheremetyevo in the north, Domodedovo in the south, Vnukovo in the southwest, and Zhukovsky in the southeast — delivery to the arrival terminal.
- Railway stations: Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky, Kazansky, Kursky, Kievsky, Belorussky, Paveletsky, and others—we'll meet you at the main entrance.
- Addresses in the city: Khamovniki, Patriki, Moscow City, VDNH, and any other districts within the MKAD ring road and beyond.
- Region: Cities of the Moscow region — the delivery address is agreed upon when booking.
How the handover works
We bring the car at the agreed time, hand over keys and documents, and record the condition of the vehicle. On the spot, we sign the agreement — this takes 10–15 minutes. If your flight is delayed or you're stuck in traffic on the MKAD, let us know in MAX and we'll adjust the meeting time. Return delivery also works: you leave the Geely at the airport or station, and we pick it up after your departure.
For those arriving from other cities, delivery to the airport is the most predictable option: you do not have to catch a taxi to the rental office and waste time on it. You can book a car with delivery to Sheremetyevo or Domodedovo in advance through MAX or by phone—tell us your flight, and we will calculate the delivery time.
Which Geely should you choose for a winter rental in Moscow — front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
From December to February, renting a Geely in Moscow should be done with the weather in mind: snow, ice, and temperature changes are common, and winter tyres are mandatory by law. In our fleet, Geelys are divided into two camps: front-wheel-drive sedans and Coolray crossovers for the city, and all-wheel-drive Atlas and Monjaro for snowy courtyards and suburban highways. The difference in road behavior is noticeable, so it is better to choose based on the specific scenario.
All-wheel drive: Geely Atlas and Monjaro
Geely Atlas at 5 300 ₽ per day and Monjaro at 6 500 ₽ are all-wheel-drive models in our Geely fleet. Both have a 2.0-liter engine: the Atlas produces 200 hp, the Monjaro 238 hp. All-wheel drive helps when starting from traffic lights on slush and driving confidently through courtyard areas where utility services do not always manage to clear snow. On the MKAD ring road and the Third Ring Road, where roads are cleaned regularly, the difference is less noticeable, but when heading out to the Moscow region or along the M-11 to Saint Petersburg, the reserve of traction is felt.
Front-wheel drive: Emgrand, Coolray and Preface
Geely Coolray at 4 300 ₽ per day with a 1.5-liter engine producing 150 hp is the optimal option for winter Moscow with its paid parking in the center. Front-wheel drive behaves predictably on dry or treated asphalt. The sedans Emgrand (3 300 ₽) and Preface (4 600 ₽) are lighter and more economical. For trips within the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road, front-wheel drive is sufficient—traffic jams and traffic lights do not require full traction.
What to consider when renting in winter
- Winter tyres: The entire Geely fleet will be fitted with winter tires in December–February — this is a legal requirement, not an option.
- Parking in the center: from 8:00 to 21:00 an hour at a paid parking lot costs 380–800 ₽, at night — 200 ₽; fine for non-payment — 5 000 ₽.
- Camera fines: go to the vehicle owner, that is, Rent-Trip, and are reissued to the renter — watch out for road signs.
- Warming up: before the trip, let the engine idle for 3–5 minutes, especially in frost below −10 °C.
In our experience, clients who take a Geely for a day or two for business meetings in the center do fine with the Coolray, but for an out-of-town weekend trip they more often choose the Atlas — all-wheel drive gives confidence on regional roads where clearing is not as frequent as in Moscow. For long trips, including night trips, it is better to agree on the model choice when booking, and the exact conditions for winter operation are specified in the rental contract.
Countryside trips in a rented Geely — toll roads and fines
From the capital, a rented Geely is convenient for short weekend trips: to Tula — about 180 km via the M-2 or M-4, to Kolomna — about 100 km via the M-5, and to Saint Petersburg — 700 km via the toll M-11 Neva motorway. All roads are paved, so the Emgrand sedan or Coolray crossover has enough standard capabilities. At Rent-Trip, we rent out cars with petrol engines and automatic transmissions; you'll need to stop for refueling on average every 400–600 km depending on driving style.
Toll sections: the renter pays for travel on the MSD and TsKAD ring — 19 ₽ per section during peak hours on weekdays from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, free outside peak hours and on weekends; transit without exiting — 950 ₽. On the M-11 and M-12, payment is for the entire route, the calculation procedure is specified in the rental agreement.
Camera fines: they go to the car owner, i.e., Rent-Trip, and are recharged to the renter—that's how the capital's system works, where cameras capture the plate, not the driver.
Parking: in the center of Moscow, the paid zone operates from 8:00 to 21:00, an hour costs 380–800 ₽, at night — 200 ₽; unpaid parking results in a fine of 5 000 ₽, towing — from 8 500 ₽ plus storage.
Before a long trip, check the rental agreement for the procedure for paying by transponder or by license plate number — the toll road operator sets the payment deadlines, and missing them results in a fine, which is also re-invoiced to you. For the Golden Ring — Sergiyev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal, Vladimir — there are almost no toll sections, 1–4 hours of driving is enough, but allow time for parking in tourist centers.
Geely rental in Moscow for foreigners — registration specifics
For a guest from another country, renting a Geely is arranged under the same rules as for a Russian citizen, but with an additional package of documents. At Rent-Trip we accept foreign drivers without intermediaries: all communication goes directly in MAX or by phone, and we deliver the car within the capital, to the region, and to four airports—Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky.
Documents for citizens of Russia
- Passport: an identity document of a citizen of the Russian Federation.
- Driving licence: valid category B licence.
Documents for foreign citizens
- Passport and migration card: Mandatory for entry and stay in Russia.
- Visa or residence permit: confirm the legality of presence in the country.
- Driving licence of the country of residence: if the country is not a party to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic — for example, China — a notarized translation of the licence or an International Driving Permit will be required. This requirement is established in Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196.
The main driver's bank card is used for insurance coverage; the terms are specified in the rental agreement. Age and driving experience affect the available car classes—the exact values are specified in the contract. Our fleet includes Geely sedans and crossovers, and requirements may differ for each model. If you plan to rent a Geely for a week or a month, clarify the terms in advance when booking—long-term rental is arranged on a separate schedule, and the package of documents is checked before the car is handed over.
Summary — how to rent a Geely in Moscow for your needs
Choosing a specific Geely model comes down to three questions: where you plan to drive, how many passengers will be in the cabin, and what budget is allocated for the trip. Our fleet has five models of this brand — from a city sedan to an all-wheel-drive crossover — and each covers its own scenario.
- City and business meetings: an Emgrand sedan for 3 300 ₽ per day or a Preface with a 2.0 L engine and 238 hp for 4 600 ₽ - for trips along the Garden Ring, the Third Ring Road, and to the Moscow City area.
- Family trips out of town: Coolray crossover for 4 300 ₽ per day — for the Moscow region, a dacha, or a short route along the Golden Ring.
- Winter and snow: all-wheel-drive Atlas at 5 300 ₽ or Monjaro at 6 500 ₽ per day — from December to February, all-wheel drive holds a snowy road noticeably more confidently.
- Long routes: Monjaro with 238 hp — a reasonable choice for the M-12 to Kazan; the interior has five seats, and luggage terms are specified in the rental agreement.
Weekly rental is calculated as six days — from 19 800 RUB for Emgrand, monthly — from 21 days, from 69 300 RUB. The longer the term, the lower the effective daily rate; exact terms for long-term rental are agreed upon when booking.
We deliver cars across the capital, the region, and to all four airports—Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky—so there's no need to look for a physical office. All details—from deposit to delivery terms and insurance—are set in the contract, so it's worth reading before signing.
The bottom line is simple: for asphalt and the city, a front-wheel-drive sedan is enough; for winter or frequent country trips, take all-wheel drive. Leave a request in MAX or by phone — give the dates and model preferences, we will confirm availability and agree on the delivery time.
