Lada for rent in Moscow: Granta, Vesta, Largus, Niva Travel
From 2 300 to 3 500 ₽ per day — rental of Lada in Moscow: six models from Granta to Niva Travel.
Which Lada models are available for rent in Moscow and how do the models differ
Rent-Trip's fleet offers six Lada models for rent, from the compact Granta to the all-wheel-drive Niva Travel. We deliver all cars to your home, office, or airport, so a physical office is not needed to pick up the keys.
Six Lada models in the Rent-Trip fleet
- Lada Granta: an economy-class sedan, 5 seats, manual and front-wheel drive, 1.6 L / 90 hp — from 2 300 ₽ per day.
- Lada Vesta: a sedan with automatic transmission, 5 seats, front-wheel drive, 1.6 L / 106 hp — from 2 600 ₽ per day.
- Lada Largus: a 7-seat station wagon, manual, front-wheel drive, 1.6 L / 106 hp — from 2 800 ₽ per day.
- Lada Vesta SW Cross: a station wagon with automatic transmission, 5 seats, 1.8 L / 122 hp — from 2 900 ₽ per day.
- Lada Largus van: commercial van for 2 seats, manual, 1.6 L / 106 hp — from 3 000 ₽ per day.
- Lada Niva Travel: SUV, 5 seats, manual, all-wheel drive, 1.7 L / 80 hp — from 3 500 ₽ per day.
How the models really differ
The difference between models is not only in price. The Granta is a basic car for trips around the capital and the region: compact, simple, with a manual. The Vesta and Vesta SW Cross come with an automatic that simplifies driving in traffic jams on the Third Ring Road and the MKAD ring road, plus a more powerful engine on the Cross version. The Largus is the only 7-seat wagon in the fleet: if you go to the dacha in the Moscow region with two families, it takes everyone and the luggage. The van solves the cargo task: to transport building materials from Leroy Merlin or furniture along the Garden Ring. The Niva Travel with all-wheel drive is the choice for a dirt road to a dacha village or a trip to Tver Oblast, although it can also handle asphalt routes along the Golden Ring.
How to choose a model for your task
In short: for the city with an automatic transmission, take the Vesta; for a large family or company, the Largus with 7 seats; for cargo transport, a van; for roads off asphalt, the Niva Travel. All models run on gasoline, so refueling won't be a surprise on a long trip. Our fleet has 90 cars in 8 classes, so if the Lada you need is not available for your dates, we'll offer an alternative of a similar class—ask about replacement terms when booking via MAX or by phone.
Comparison of Lada rentals for specific tasks — family, cargo, automatic, winter
The Lada fleet at Rent-Trip covers five typical scenarios — from trips with children to transporting building materials. Below is a breakdown of the models by task, so you can choose a car with the right number of seats, gearbox and drive, and not overpay for extras.
Lada Largus — for family and trips with five people and luggage
A 7-seat estate with three rows of seats — the only Lada in our fleet that can accommodate a large family or a company of six. The third row folds flat, and then the boot volume is sufficient for a stroller, a bicycle, and several suitcases — a typical set for the dacha season. Manual transmission and front-wheel drive require no getting used to in the city or on the highway, and the 1.6 L engine with 106 hp pulls a loaded car confidently. If you need to carry passengers and large cargo at the same time, there will be enough space for both.
Lada Vesta and Vesta SW Cross — for those who want an automatic
Vesta with automatic transmission is the most affordable Lada with an automatic gearbox in the capital: from 2 600 ₽ per day. For driving in heavy traffic on the Third Ring Road and the Garden Ring, the automatic gearbox reduces fatigue by a third — no need to constantly work the clutch in multi-hour traffic jams. The SW Cross version with a 1.8 L engine (122 hp) costs 2 900 ₽ and adds ground clearance and brisk acceleration for overtaking on the MKAD ring road and suburban highways. Both cars — sedan and wagon — carry 5 passengers, but the SW Cross has a noticeably more spacious trunk for a trip to the Golden Ring.
Lada Largus van — for cargo and work
A two-seater van with an all-metal body and solid sides is a working tool for transporting tools, building materials or goods for a small shop. The floor and sides are easy to wash, and the cargo compartment volume replaces a light commercial van. The rear suspension is tuned for load — the car does not sag even with half a tonne of cargo. The rate of 3 000 ₽ per day is lower than that of specialised cargo services, and delivery to the address is included in the rental terms.
Lada Niva Travel — for winter and country roads
All-wheel drive with a low-range gear and locking is what you need for a country dacha with a broken dirt road, winter fishing or a trip to the Moscow region after a snowfall. The Niva Travel forgives the lack of experience in driving on slippery surfaces, and the high ground clearance allows you not to think about potholes on country roads. Manual transmission and a 1.7 L petrol engine are a time-tested scheme that is easy to maintain in any city.
How to choose a Lada for your task
| Task | Model | Seats | Drive | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Family with children | Lada Largus | 7 | Front-wheel | 2 800 ₽ |
| Comfort with automatic transmission | Lada Vesta / SW Cross | 5 | Front-wheel | 2 600–2 900 ₽ |
| Cargo and work | Lada Largus Van | 2 | Front-wheel | 3 000 ₽ |
| A dacha in winter | Lada Niva Travel | 5 | All-wheel | 3 500 ₽ |
| Budget trip | Lada Granta | 5 | Front-wheel | 2 300 ₽ |
If you are torn between two models, check at the time of booking via MAX which car is available for the required dates — our fleet has 90 cars in 8 classes, and we will suggest an option for your task, not just quote a price.
Lada rental prices in Moscow — daily, weekly, monthly
The cost of renting a Lada in Moscow at Rent-Trip is from 2 300 to 3 500 ₽ per day depending on the model, and for longer periods the daily price decreases. Our fleet has six economy-class Lada models, and each has its own price directly related to the trim, gearbox, and body type.
Daily rates for Lada models
| Model | Class | Body | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lada Granta | Economy | Sedan | 2 300 ₽ |
| Lada Vesta | Economy | Sedan | 2 600 ₽ |
| Lada Largus | Economy | Estate | 2 800 ₽ |
| Lada Vesta SW Cross | Economy | Estate | 2 900 ₽ |
| Lada Largus Van | Commercial | Van | 3 000 ₽ |
| Lada Niva Travel | SUVs | SUV | 3 500 ₽ |
The most affordable model is the Granta with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive; it is taken for daily trips around the city. The Vesta with automatic transmission costs 300 ₽ more, and the Niva Travel with all-wheel drive is the most expensive in the lineup; it is chosen for suburban routes at any time of year.
Week and month: the benefit of long-term rental
When renting for a week or more, the price is recalculated: a week's rental of any Lada will cost from 13 800 ₽, a month — from 48 300 ₽. In effect, you pay as for 6 days instead of 7 and as for 21 days instead of 30 — the longer the term, the lower the cost per day.
- Week: from 13 800 ₽ for Granta — convenient for a business trip or vacation with active trips around the Moscow region.
- Month: from 48 300 ₽ — suitable for those who have come to Moscow for a long period and do not want to use taxis daily.
- Savings on duration: For a monthly rental, a day of Granta costs about 2 300 ₽ versus 3 500 ₽ for a one-time rental of Niva Travel—the difference covers the class gap.
For long-term rental, we recommend calculating not the daily rate but the overall budget: a month on a Vesta with automatic transmission is cheaper than daily taxi trips on the home—work—home route within the MKAD ring road. The terms of monthly rental — included payments, extension procedure — are fixed in the rental agreement and specified when booking.
Why the price depends on the model
The difference of 1 200 ₽ between the Granta and Niva Travel is explained not by class but by equipment. The Granta is a basic manual and front-wheel drive, the Niva Travel is all-wheel drive and an off-road body, which is more expensive to maintain. The price is also affected by the gearbox: the automatic on the Vesta and Vesta SW Cross adds 300 ₽ to the cost relative to the manual on the Largus with the same engine volume of 1.6 L.
Fuel in all models is gasoline; fuel consumption in the combined cycle for Lada is comparable, so the fuel budget when switching from Granta to Vesta hardly changes. In winter, the entire fleet is switched to winter tires, which does not affect the rental price — seasonal tires are included in the rate.
Lada rental in Moscow — conditions, documents, driving experience, fines
To rent a Lada in Moscow, you need a minimum set of documents: a passport of a Russian citizen and a category B driving licence. We check the documents when handing over the car and draw up the contract on the spot — without a visit to the office, since Rent-Trip does not have a physical office.
- Passport: for citizens of Russia — general civil passport, validity period does not matter, but the document must be legible.
- Driving licence: category B, driving experience and age requirements are specified in the rental contract.
- Bank card: in the name of the primary driver, to block the deposit amount — the exact amount is specified in the rental agreement.
- OSAGO: Compulsory insurance by law covers every registered vehicle, including our Lada.
- CASCO (comprehensive insurance): the terms of voluntary insurance are specified in the rental agreement — please read them before signing.
- Camera fines: go to the vehicle owner, we reissue them to the renter after receiving the notice.
OSAGO insurance is included in the price of each car - you do not need to pay for it separately. In winter, from December to February, the entire fleet is switched to winter tires, which is mandatory under technical regulations. Toll roads - MSD, TsKAD, M-11, and M-12 - are paid by the renter: via transponder or by car number within the road operator's deadline.
Fines for unpaid parking in the center — from 5 000 ₽, towing will cost 8 500–12 450 ₽ plus storage, so before a trip to the Patriarch's Ponds area or Kutuzovsky Prospekt, check the parking zone. When choosing a Lada Granta for 2 300 ₽ per day, consider: night parking in the center costs from 200 ₽ per hour, daytime — 380–800 ₽, these expenses are not included in the rate. If you plan a trip along the M-12 to Kazan, budget 5 909 ₽ for the entire route — a transponder with a discount of up to 25% can be arranged at booking via MAX.
Delivery of a rented Lada in Moscow and to airports
Car delivery is part of the Rent-Trip service: we bring the car to wherever is convenient for you — to your home, office, airport, or railway station. We have no physical office, so you do not waste time on the road — the car meets you at the starting point of your trip. This is especially convenient when you are flying on a flight and every minute before departure counts.
Delivery to Moscow's four airports
We deliver cars to Sheremetyevo (north, ~30 km from the MKAD ring road via the M-11 or Leningradskoye Shosse), Domodedovo (south, ~45 km via Kashirskoye Shosse), Vnukovo (southwest, ~28 km via Kievskoye or Borovskoye Shosse), and Zhukovsky (southeast, ~40 km via Novoryazanskoye Shosse). When ordering, provide your flight number—we will calculate the time so that the car is waiting for you at the terminal exit, not the other way around. If the flight is delayed, simply notify us via MAX, and we will adjust the delivery to the new arrival time. The reverse scenario is also well-practiced: you return the car at the airport before departure and go to check-in, while we pick it up ourselves.
Delivery to railway stations and to addresses in the capital and the region
At ten railway stations — Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky, Kazansky, Kursky, Kievsky, Belorussky, Paveletsky, and others — we meet you at the main entrance with a sign or simply hand over the keys under the contract. In the city, we deliver the car to any district — from Khamovniki and Patriki to Strogino and Chertanovo; you specify the delivery address when booking. In the Moscow region, we deliver cars to towns and settlements within reasonable logistics — for example, if you live in Odintsovo or Khimki and want to start from home. We deliver the car and pick it up after the trip, so you are not tied to our location.
What to check when handing over the car
- Documents: passport and a driving licence of category B — for citizens of Russia; for foreigners — the full package as required by law.
- Body inspection: We record existing scratches and chips in the contract — take photos of the car before departure; this protects you upon return.
- Fuel level: the car is handed over with a full tank, it must be returned also full — this is specified in the contract.
- Delivery details: Delivery cost and transfer conditions to a specific point are specified when booking via MAX or by phone—they depend on the address and time.
Documents for renting a Lada in Moscow for foreigners
For a foreign citizen, renting a Lada in the capital is processed using a foreign passport with a valid visa or residence permit, a migration card, and national driving licence. At Rent-Trip, the car is delivered to the airport, so the tourist can get the keys immediately after arrival, without spending time traveling to the office — we don't have one physically, which is reflected in the price.
Documents for citizens of the Russian Federation
- Passport: a Russian passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, valid for the entire rental period.
- Driving licence: A category B licence held for at least the period specified in the contract.
Documents for a foreign renter
- International passport: A national passport of the country of citizenship with a visa or residence permit, if a visa regime is required.
- Migration card: Mandatory for those who entered on a visa; confirms legal stay.
- Driving licence: A national licence from your own country; for citizens of states outside the Vienna Convention — e.g., China — a notarized translation or an international permit is required (Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196).
Bank card and driving experience
To confirm the booking, the bank card of the main driver is used—the security deposit is debited from it, the amount of which is specified in the rental agreement. Requirements for age and experience increase with the car class: for a Lada Granta the threshold is lower than for a Niva Travel, exact values are in the rental agreement. A foreigner with a license issued in a country that has not signed the Vienna Convention will need to obtain a notarized translation in advance—this takes one day at any notary in the capital, otherwise car delivery will be refused.
Countryside routes in a rented Lada — toll roads and tips
Cars from our fleet are suitable for routes on the asphalt of the Moscow region and neighboring regions — from a dacha 40 kilometers from the MKAD to a long trip to Kazan. All six models we deliver across the capital and region are petrol-powered with a range of 500–600 kilometers without refueling.
Weekend routes in a rented Lada
- The Golden Ring: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal, Vladimir — it takes 1–4 hours from the capital on asphalt, comfortable in the Lada Granta or Lada Vesta.
- Tula and Yasnaya Polyana: about 2.5 hours via the M-2 or M-4 — a Lada Vesta with an automatic will do if there are two drivers and a smooth ride is important.
- Kolomna: about 2 hours on the M-5 — the Lada Largus with 7 seats fits a family with children and a stroller.
- Saint Petersburg: The M-11 Neva motorway (~700 km, ~7 hours) — usually they take Lada Vesta SW Cross: 122 hp confidently hold cruising speed.
- Kazan via the M-12 Vostok motorway: ~8 hours of travel; for such a route, the Lada Niva Travel with all-wheel drive is suitable — just in case of rain and roadworks sections.
Toll roads: how rates work
The MSD and the TsKAD ring within the city and the region are free outside peak hours — from 11:00 to 16:00 and after 20:00 on weekdays, as well as on weekends. During peak hours (weekdays 7:00–11:00 and 16:00–20:00), each section costs 19 ₽; the entire TsKAD loop costs 171 ₽. Transit without exiting on both diameters costs 950 ₽. The M-11 Neva is tolled along its entire length; the M-12 Vostok for the full route to Kazan will cost 5 909 ₽ for a passenger car. A transponder gives a discount of up to 25% — it is installed in our cars; rates have increased by 8–10% over the last season.
Fines from cameras go to the car owner — the rental company — and we reissue them to the renter. The procedure for paying for toll sections and the conditions for withholding are specified in the rental agreement.
What to consider before leaving the city
If you're driving in winter—from December to February, all our Ladas are fitted with winter tires, as required by law (TR CU 018/2011). In summer, we do not use studded tires. Paid parking in the city center costs 380–800 ₽/hour from 8:00 to 21:00 and 200 ₽/hour at night; the fine for non-payment is 5 000 ₽, and tow truck costs 8 500–12 450 ₽ plus storage. Before a long trip, check the oil level and tire pressure—at handover we show you how to open the hood and what to check; it takes two minutes and saves time on the road.
