The bank card must be issued in the name of the main driver — the terms of the security deposit are specified in the rental agreement. If a second person will drive, their details are added at pickup.

Terms for foreign renters

A citizen of another country will need a foreign passport, migration card, and visa or residence permit — without them we do not sign a contract. A driver's license is accepted if the issuing country participates in the Vienna Convention; for licenses from states outside the Convention, for example from China, a notarized translation or an International Driving Permit is required under Art. 25 of Federal Law No. 196-FZ. In practice, this means: prepare the translation in advance to avoid wasting time at delivery. The age requirements for a foreigner are the same as for a resident — they depend on the car class and are fixed in the rental agreement.

What is specified in the contract

What about insurance

Each car in our fleet is registered and insured under OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) — this is mandatory civil liability insurance required by law, and it is valid for the entire rental period. The terms of additional car protection, if provided for in the contract, are specified in the agreement — amounts and procedures in the event of an incident are stated there. The composition of insurance coverage and the procedure in an emergency are specified in the rental agreement.

Who pays camera fines

Speeding, red-light, and other violations are recorded by cameras and go to the car owner, i.e., the rental company. We re-invoice them to the renter — this is standard practice on the capital's market. The deadline for paying a fine after receiving the notification is specified in the rental agreement.

Toll roads and how to pay for them

In the capital and the region, toll sections are part of everyday routes, especially when you leave the city. The toll is paid by the renter.

• MSD: 9 sections, 19 ₽ each during peak hours (weekdays 7:00–11:00 and 16:00–20:00), free outside peak and on weekends; transit without exit — 950 ₽.
• TsKAD ring: 19 ₽ per section during peak, full circle 171 ₽, free off-peak; transit — 950 ₽.
• M-11 Neva motorway: toll throughout, about 700 km to Saint Petersburg.
• M-12 Vostok: a passenger car to Kazan — 5 909 ₽ for the entire route; a transponder gives a discount of up to 25%.

You can pay for the ride by transponder or by licence plate within the time set by the road operator. If you are driving on the M-11 or M-12 for the first time, allow time for registering the payment method — without it, a fine will be issued, which is also re-invoiced to the renter. In the winter months from December to February, the fleet is switched to winter tyres, which is important for long trips on suburban highways.

For guests from abroad, the same traffic rules apply as for locals: in winter, from December to February, winter tyres are mandatory, and fines from photo enforcement cameras are sent to the car owner and recharged to the renter.
