Each car is insured under OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) — this is mandatory coverage for all registered vehicles. The parameters of additional protection are fixed in the contract, which also states the amount of the security deposit and the terms of delivery. From December to February, cars are fitted with winter tires — this is a legal requirement, and we monitor seasonal changes across the fleet. Return conditions, mileage limits, and the procedure for calculating additional options are specified in the contract — check when booking via MAX or by phone.

Business trips: sedans from Business to Premium class

For meetings with partners in the capital, we usually recommend the E-Class: 197 hp and rear-wheel drive are enough for confident movement along the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road, and the interior does not look excessive for a business trip. The S-Class with all-wheel drive and 367 hp is taken for high-status negotiations or meetings with top officials — it is more comfortable to drive along Leninsky Prospekt or Kutuzovsky Prospekt, where ride smoothness is important. The C-Class is a pragmatic choice for daily city driving: more compact, more economical, and 2 500 ₽ per day cheaper than the E-Class. If the day's route is three or four meetings in different districts from Khamovniki to Moscow City, the price difference between the C-Class and E-Class is justified only by the status of the negotiations.

Space for seven: V-Class and GLS

G-Class: status and a special case

Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the most expensive in the Rent-Trip fleet at 33 000 ₽ per day, and it is taken not for traffic jams on the MKAD ring road, but for an event: a wedding, anniversary, important negotiations, or meeting guests from another city. 585 hp and all-wheel drive are secondary here — the main thing is the recognisable silhouette that gives a different context to any trip around the centre. We deliver the G-Class to Patriarch's Ponds, Moscow City, and Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports. For everyday tasks it is excessive, but for a day when the car is part of the event, it fulfils the task with no alternative in the fleet.

Documents and requirements for renting a Mercedes-Benz in Moscow

What a citizen of Russia needs

• Passport: An identity document — without it, we do not sign the contract.
• Driving licence: category B, valid for the entire rental period.

Mercedes-Benz rental for foreigners

A foreign national rents a car with a passport, migration card, and visa or residence permit. We accept national licences if the issuing country is party to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. For citizens of China and other countries outside the Convention, a notarized translation of the licence or an International Driving Permit will be required — this is a requirement of Article 25 of Federal Law No. 196-FZ. The migration card confirms the legality of stay; without it, the contract cannot be concluded.

Age, experience, and bank card

The minimum age and driving experience increase with the car class: requirements are lower for C-Class, stricter for S-Class or G-Class. The exact figures for each model are specified in the contract — when booking, the Rent-Trip manager will state them before delivery to avoid surprises. The main driver's bank card is needed for a security deposit: it is unblocked after returning the car; the terms and conditions of return are fixed in the contract. If a second driver takes the wheel, their passport and licence will also be needed — we will include them in the contract upon delivery.

Delivery is part of Rent-Trip's logistics: we hand over keys in Khamovniki, on Patriarch's Ponds, near Moscow City, in Sokole, or in Krylatskoye – the address and time are agreed upon at booking. • The Golden Ring: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Suzdal and Vladimir — from 1 to 4 hours of driving on asphalt; the E-Class with a consumption of 2.0 L per 100 km will suit a two- or three-day route.
• Kazan via the M-12 Vostok motorway: about 8 hours — in a GLS with 7 seats, the trip passes without stopping for fuel when traveling with three people.
• Tula and Yasnaya Polyana: about 2.5 hours along the M-2 or M-4 — a C-Class at 8 500 ₽ per day covers the weekend task.

Toll roads: M-11, M-12, MSD and TsKAD

The toll road fees are paid by the renter separately — via transponder or by license plate within the road operator's deadline. On the M-12 Vostok motorway, a passenger car pays 5 909 ₽ for the entire route to Kazan. Rates on the MSD and TsKAD, as well as transponder usage terms, are specified in the rental agreement. Before a long trip, check whether the transponder is included in the car's equipment — this is clarified when booking.

What to check before departure

For a suburban trip, choose a model based on the number of passengers: for 5 people, an E-Class or C-Class sedan will suffice; for 7, a V-Class or GLS. In winter from December to February, all fleet cars are fitted with winter tires — this is a legal requirement, and there's no need to change them seasonally. If the route goes along the M-11 or M-12, include the cost of toll sections in your budget — for Kazan, that's almost 6 000 ₽ one way. Fines from cameras go to the car owner and are re-invoiced to the renter, so on the MSD and TsKAD it's better to pay the toll immediately rather than wait for a receipt.

For comparison: a C-Class costs 8 500 ₽ per day, and for seven days it is cheaper than six full days at the base rate. Moreover, the benefit grows with the class of the car: the more expensive the model, the more noticeable the difference when booking long-term.

For a week, the E-Class is often taken for a business trip with a busy schedule of meetings, or the V-Class when a group of seven people arrives and needs to be transported with luggage around the city and to airports. We have no restriction "only for a day" — the car is assigned to you for the entire period, which is convenient if your trip plan changes from day to day.

Processing takes the same time as for a daily rental: passport and category B licence for Russian citizens. We'll deliver the car to any point in the capital, the region, or the airport terminal — we'll agree on the delivery address and handover schedule when booking.

Monthly rental: from 178 500 ₽

Monthly rental of Mercedes-Benz — from 178 500 ₽, that is, 21 days at a rate that is noticeably more favorable than daily payment. This format is chosen when a car is needed for a long-term project, a business trip period, or the time between selling an old car and getting a new one from a dealership. For corporate tasks, it is a way to solve the transportation issue without depreciation of your own fleet.

For a monthly rental, all models of the Mercedes-Benz line are available — from C-Class to G-Class; the conditions for securing a specific car are clarified when booking. The technical condition of the car, equipment, and additional options are specified in the rental contract.

A monthly agreement includes the same conditions as a short-term rental: OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) is valid by law, winter tires are installed from December to February, and the details of CASCO (comprehensive insurance) and the amount of the security deposit are specified in the agreement. Each car in our fleet is insured under OSAGO (compulsory third-party insurance) — this is mandatory civil liability insurance that applies to all registered cars by law. CASCO (comprehensive insurance) — voluntary insurance for the car itself — its terms are specified in the rental agreement. In practice, renters most often ask about insurance before a trip along the M-11 motorway to Saint Petersburg or along the Golden Ring — on the highway, driving conditions differ from city ones.

Fines from cameras and toll roads

Photo enforcement fines go to the car owner, i.e., the rental company, and we reissue them to the renter. This applies to speeding, running red lights, and unpaid parking. The fine payment procedure is specified in the rental agreement. Toll roads—MSD, TsKAD, M-11 and M-12—are paid by the renter. Travel on MSD is free off-peak, during peak hours from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 on weekdays—19 ₽ per section. Transit on MSD or TsKAD without exiting costs 950 ₽, while M-12 Vostok from the capital to Kazan costs 5 909 ₽ for a passenger car. Discounts on toll highways are confirmed at booking.

Winter tires from December to February

From December to February, Moscow and the region require winter tires under the technical regulation—our fleet is fitted in advance, so the car will be ready for snow and ice. If you plan a trip outside the city in winter, the car will already have winter tires—this condition is stated in the rental agreement.
