For a weekend trip, a daily rate is enough. If you are going to Saint Petersburg for a week, a weekly rate is more advantageous: F7 from 31 200 ₽ versus 36 400 ₽ daily. For a long business trip of 2–3 weeks, a monthly rate on Jolion from 88 200 ₽ turns out to be more profitable than paying daily for the same period—the exact savings are indicated in the rental agreement.

Documents and requirements for renting a Haval in Moscow

To rent a Haval without a driver, you will need a passport and a category B driving licence — this is the standard set for Russian citizens. For foreign renters, the list is broader: a migration card, a visa or residence permit, and a domestic licence are added. Where to go in a rented Haval from Moscow - routes and toll roads

Moscow is a convenient starting point for trips across central Russia, and the Haval with its ground clearance and all-wheel drive on some models suits paved routes of 300–900 km. In our practice, renters most often take the Jolion for a trip to the dacha or to Kolomna, and the H9 for a family trip to Saint Petersburg or Kazan.

• Saint Petersburg via the M-11 Neva motorway: ~700 km, about 7 hours on the way, the road is tolled for the entire stretch—the toll for a car is specified in the rental agreement.

The difference between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive in a snowfall is noticeable: all-wheel drive starts more confidently from traffic lights and slips less on uncleared courtyards. On the MKAD ring road and toll highways, which are regularly cleared, the front-wheel-drive Jolion is sufficient, but for trips to the region on secondary roads, we advise taking the F7 or Dargo.

Winter tires and seasonal rules

From December to February, winter tires are mandatory per technical regulation (TR CU 018/2011)—the entire Rent-Trip fleet will be seasonally fitted; we do not use studded tires in summer. The car's technical condition and readiness for sub-zero temperatures are stated in the rental agreement.

In a snowfall, you should budget an extra 20–30 minutes for a trip through the center — the Garden Ring and the Third Ring Road are cleared first, while snow on the embankments and in courtyards may lie until noon. If you plan to go out of town, keep in mind that the area around the capital is flat with fields and copses, with small elevation changes, but on regional highways like the M-5 Ural to Kolomna, black ice lasts longer than on the M-11 Neva.

All-wheel drive does not cancel caution: in winter the braking distance on ice increases, and the stabilization system of the Haval H9 is tuned for calm driving, not aggressive maneuvers. For trips to the dacha in the Moscow region or to the Golden Ring, take the Dargo — its characteristics on winter roads are specified when booking.

Insurance, fines, and rental rules for Haval in Moscow

We deliver the car around the capital, within the Moscow region, to four airports — Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky — and to ten railway stations, including Leningradsky, Kazansky, and Kursky.
